This was a good second book to a series. It kept me on the edge of my seat and hooked into the story. We find Kate returning from her first summer after the wedding and all she wants to know is if Henry loves her and wants her there. That to me was the only really annoying part about this book. I don’t like women in the real world who are whiny and wishy-washy. The self doubt that she puts herself through to get him to answer was excruciating for me to read. I kept telling at the book a d was tempted to throw it a couple of times. She is just to naive to really grasp the fact that Henry does indeed love her and wants her to be with him.
The fight scenes with Calliope are very intense and I wish I could cut off her head for them but no one kills her. Why??? Because she is working with Cronos. She wants to everything possible to hurt Kate and so she tries to release him. Great Idea except the fact that he will destroy the entire world and all of them with it.
So the books leaves on a cliffhanger…..a big huge one. I can’t wait to go to the library and pick up the next one. I have to know what happens to Kate and if they will beat Calliope and Cronos.
The suspense is going to drive me mad.
