Book Fair!

It’s that time of the year again for the schools to host the Scholastic Book Fair!! My girls get super excited when the book fair comes around and honestly so do I!  So here are the books that the girls have picked out for themselves:

Dog Man Unleashed (Dog Man #2) by [Pilkey, Dav]A New Class (Star Wars: Jedi Academy #4) by [Krosoczka, Jarrett J.]Judy Moody and the Bucket List by [McDonald, Megan]

They are very happy with the books they were able to get this year. My 9 year old wanted Wonder by R.J. Palacio but I felt it was to expensive for a book fair book. Plus I have a coupon for Books A Million, so I will pick it up there.

One thing I noticed this year was that they didn’t have as big of a collection of Middle Grade books. I was however able to pick up these two beauties:

Serafina and the Twisted Staff (Fiction - Middle Grade) by [Beatty, Robert]

This is the sequel to Serafina and the Black Cloak which I purchased last year at the Book Fair.

Finding Serendipity (Tuesday McGillycuddy Adventures) by [Banks, Angelica]

When Tuesday McGillycuddy and her beloved dog, Baxterr, discover that Tuesday’s mother—the famous author Serendipity Smith—has gone missing, they set out on a magical adventure. In their quest to find Serendipity, they discover the mysterious and unpredictable place that stories come from. Here, Tuesday befriends the fearless Vivienne Small, learns to sail an enchanted boat, tangles with an evil pirate, and discovers the truth about her remarkable dog. Along the way, she learns what it means to be a writer and how difficult it can sometimes be to get all the way to The End.

I thought that Finding Serendipity just sounds so cute and a great adventure story.
