The Reluctant Sacrifice Review

I received this book last year for review and did not get the chance to sit down and read it. This past week I joined in on a read along over on IG and we read 4 chapters a day, very hard to do. Especially with this book.

Kerr-Ann Dempster has a beautiful writing style that is fast paced and keeps you interested. I loved the funny and witty banter between the characters. The story line is unique and very well flushed out.

I did love all of the characters including the baddies. Aubrey is the main protagonist and she is a very brave girl. Having to hide from the people that want to sacrifice her in order for her people to have immorality and save their world. She is a Jumper, meaning she can jump from one body to another but at great cost. Every time she does,  she loses a piece of her soul. So she is running for her life from her evil sister Morgan and the boy she has loved since childhood. Only when a handsome stranger Coy shows up and helps her along the way to her freedom.

Im not gonna give away to much but it was a very ingrossing book. I am giving it 5 stars!! I can not wait to continue on in this story with book 2, The Reluctant Huntress!!!

Kerr-Ann Dempster lives in Michigan where she is often found with her nose in a book, her toes in the sand/snow, and online fan-girling over fictional characters and fellow authors. She is a graduate of Loyola University, Chicago where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. After working in Visual Communications and as a Flight Attendant, Kerr-Ann decided that life was best spent being happy. With that in mind, she published her first novel, Beneath Scarlett Valley, in August 2014. Finding the experience, happy and fulfilling she then published her second novel, The Reluctant Sacrifice in August 2015.
